Bryan Danielson-WWE Update – TNA Debut In The Works?
by TNAWrestlingNews.com Staff on 06/13/2010 – 03:27 PM
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
An update on Daniel Bryan’s firing: it was due to pressure from an outside source following Monday night’s angle. The choking with the tie and spitting in John Cena’s face were the two main sticking points, and Vince McMahon is said to have had no choice. It is almost a guarantee that this is not a work, since that would mean WWE had lied to everyone with any power in WWE. They have all been told that Daniel Bryan is gone for real.
It seems very clear that Bryan is being used as a scapegoat. It also appears to me that someone from the outside (not WWE management) was the one who threw a fit and WWE had no choice but to fire him for now.
To recap, here are the key bullet points:
# The Justin Roberts spot was deemed too violent and it led to the firing, in a call made by Vince, but forced upon him by an “outside force who is important”
# Complaints came in very quickly.
# The decision was explained to the merchandise and marketing people, PR team, company doctor before it was announced that it was a legit firing.
# The person who complained was someone from the “outside, important to the company”
# Danielson is being called a “scapegoat”
# No timetable has been given, but he was said to be left with the impression that he would be welcomed back at a later time once things pass over.
# Danielson is now looking for indy dates.
# Danielson has a 90 day no-compete clause.
# With respect to the possibility of Vince working his own employees, he’s definitely capable of it, and a much more “insane” situation is currently going on with a much bigger name than Danielson in WWE right now.
# Sources in WWE believe they will lose him to TNA, Once source said they just “made a TNA main eventer”

Question: I Think I Got The Job, Do YOU?
On 12/22/10, I went on an interview for a Recruiter Administrator position w/ a world renowned fashion company in NYC. The position is a 20 min (max) commute from my house- which is great for the city. I have over 3 years of experience doing this type of work and it is considered an entry-leveled position for college graduates, which I managed to do just 4 months ago.
I spent a little over 45 mins with the person who will be managing the position, therefore looking for her OWN replacement. We have similar backgrounds and because I have a staffing/HR background- I kinda know how to play on key points gaining her interest. Needless to say, I was invited to a 2nd round where I got to meet w/ the Hiring Manager AND the VP of the division. It lasted about an hr, 30 mins w/ each person.
They stressed the position as almost undesirable, I guess to gauge my actual interest and I nailed my come-backs w/ terms like “I don’t mind at all learning and starting somewhere within such a popular company”. The hiring manager said that she wanted to check “MY REFERENCES & Perform the BACKGROUND CHECK”… Is that good?
Considering my past HR exp, I’ve seen offers and performed interviews that started good, went long and ended bad. I’m a little worried just because the economy has everyone on edge. Could they just be putting me through the wringer or may I have an actual shot at this job? I have ALL of the qualifications. My spirit is high, I’m aggressive (NYC heart) and I know the business. I hope it goes well. I’m waiting for THE call next 1/3/11. *sigh*

No one will know if you’ve been considered as the likely candidate other than the employer themselves. Did they advise you when they’ll revert to you if you are successful? Keep your spirit high but meanwhile it doesn’t hurt to look around so that the disappointment, if any, may not be too drastic.
Question: What do you think of the immigrations rally in Chicago?
Ethnic groups rally for immigrant rights

A mass of flag-waving humanity jammed downtown Chicago this afternoon as tens of thousands of protesters rallied at Federal Plaza to demand more humane immigration laws.
Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Mayor Richard Daley and other political figures crowded onto the stage to speak to the crowd.
Noting Chicago was built by new arrivals to this country who simply wanted a share of the American Dream, Daley said, “We are not going to make criminals out of (immigrants). That is not what America has ever stood for.”
U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), a Hispanic, drew cheers as he recognized Irish, Polish, Chinese and African-American rally participants.
“I have never been prouder to march, to show my commitment to a cause, than I have been today,” Gutierrez said. “We have brought together the true fabric of what Chicago is, of what our country is.”
Even as the rally began, about 2 p.m., people continued streaming into the Loop, the line of march extending as far west as the United Center.
Streets in the immediate vicinity of Federal Plaza, 230 S. Dearborn St., were closed for the rally as a crowd estimated by Chicago police as 75,000 to 100,000 in size spilled off the sidewalks.
And as the afternoon rush hour approached, police issued an alert asking the public to avoid not just the federal building complex, but the area bounded by Madison Street on the north, Roosevelt Road on the south, Ashland Avenue on the west and all points “all the way east.”
Earlier, businesses, restaurants and schools across the region emptied out, and busloads of immigrants from Mexico, Poland and Ireland converged on the protest’s assembly point in Union Park, at Ashland Avenue and Washington Boulevard on the city’s West Side.
At the park, the participants—representatives of many ethnic groups in addition to the Hispanic community, the event’s main organizer—immediately broke into mini-rallies, some speakers grabbing megaphones and rallying participants from baseball bleachers.
The protesters stepped off shortly after noon for a two-mile march to Federal Plaza. They moved amid a sea of flags, including those for Guatemala, Ecuador, Ireland and especially Mexico. But U.S. flags were the most numerous.
Marchers such as Jose Soberanis tried to make the case that the cause of illegal immigrants fits with basic American values. Soberanis, 21, led a group waving U.S. flags and a drawing of Martin Luther King that he created with his 11-year-old sister, Cecilia.
“As the saying goes, ‘I have a dream.’ Well, we have dreams, too,” Soberanis said. “African-Americans were looking for social acceptance. That is what we want, too.”
Whole shifts of workers left their jobs to underscore the importance of immigrant workers. One server in a Downers Grove Italian restaurant came in his tie and apron, draped with a U.S. flag.
A Chicago factory worker, Amada Ochoa, 44, said she felt a swell of pride when about 150 employees walked out the doors around noon at their West Side plating company.
“We felt a feeling of unity,” she said. “It shows our work is important.”

Question: Do you think Obama/Baucus healthcare “reform” is for special interest groups…not people?
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1009/28362.html
At a meeting last April with corporate lobbyists, aides to President Barack Obama and Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) helped set in motion a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign, primarily financed by industry groups, that has played a key role in bolstering public support for health care reform.
The role Baucus’s chief of staff, Jon Selib, and deputy White House chief of staff Jim Messina played in launching the groups was part of a successful effort by Democrats to enlist traditional enemies of health care reform to their side. No quid pro quo was involved, they insist, as do the lobbyists themselves. ………………..“What you’ve had was the Senate and the White House sitting down and cutting deals with special interests,” he said. “I don’t think that’s quite what the American people signed up for when the Obama campaign said that they were going to limit the influence of special interests in this White House.”
Criticism — from the left and the right — of the PhRMA deal and the coalitions became more pointed after it was revealed in August that the coalitions were paying two firms with close ties to the White House to cut ads: AKPD Message and Media, which was founded by White House senior adviser David Axelrod, still owes him $ 2 million and employs one of his sons — and GMMB.
Liberals contended drug companies were being let off the hook. And congressional Republicans distributed talking points asserting the PhRMA deal raised “serious questions as to whether the drug lobby is helping to bankroll a multimillion-dollar severance package for one of the president’s senior advisers.”
Baucus Bill Sticks To Pharma Deal That Supposedly Wasn’t Struck
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/18/baucus-bill-sticks-to-pha_n_290639.html
The bill unveiled by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus has been blasted as a major giveaway to insurance companies. But the even bigger winners are the drug makers.
That’s because the Baucus bill matches up, nearly to the letter, with the secret deal that he, the White House and Big Pharma struck over the summer — a deal the various parties roundly denied had been struck when it went public.
In August, the Huffington Post published a memo that outlined exactly what each side was going to do for the other. And Big Pharma was getting a lot more than they were giving up.
Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America senior vice president Ken Johnson said that the outline “is simply not accurate.” White House spokesman Reid Cherlin concurred: “This memo isn’t accurate and does not reflect the agreement with the drug companies.”
But now that the bill is out, let’s fact check those denials.

Question: Do you think car companies “lies” about their HP numbers?
I have been reading a lot about how to measure HPs and power ratings. Seems to be somewhat misleading. Here on the Car & Driver website…
http://www.caranddriver.com/features/columns/c_d_staff/larry_webster/horsepower_confusion_and_resolution_column
States the Toyota Camry dropped to 190 HPs but helped the Dodge V10 Viper Engine ( I know, before conspiracy theorist start saying “Bull$ h1t”). Accoding to Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower#hp_.28SAE.29 , there are a lot of different ways to measure and “tricks” to boost the numbers for marketing purpose. I have seen a lot of people that buy cars according what numbers says rather on how the car actually performs.
What are your thoughts?
Usualy gas comsumption is rated at a 55 MPH speed and perhaps no close to 0 wind speed on a track.
About the “lie” part is on quotes, not really meaning a lie, just, lets say, not accurate, to manipulate insurance rates and/or selling points.

Question: What do you think of China telling restaraunts to take dog off the menu during the Olympics?
Restaurants and hotels in the Chinese capital have been asked to take dog meat off the menu during Olympics and Paralympics due to concerns that the canine dishes might be offensive to Westerners and animal rights activists.
“Gourmets with a special predilection for dog meat will be disappointed if they come to the Chinese capital in the coming two months,” a Beijing Tourism Bureau official said.
The Beijing Catering Trade Association (BETA) has issued a circular forbidding all the 112-designated restaurants from providing dog meat dishes during Olympics and strongly advised other establishments to suspend serving the canine delicacy until September.
“If a customer orders dog meat, the restaurant staff should patiently suggest another entree,” Xiong Yumei, the Bureaus Vice-Director, was quoted as saying by official Xinhua news agency. “Conflicts should be avoided.” Canine dishes are popular among the Korean community in Beijing, as also in Yunnan and Guizhou restaurants.
Apart from being a delicacy, dog meat is also believed by many Chinese to be an effective element to lower blood pressure. Some also think it boosts “sexual prowess”.
Animal rights and environmental activists claim dogs are brutally killed with clubs and knives in China’s dog meat industry.
